One risk factor for kidney disease is a relative whose kidneys have failed. Kidney disease is NOT contagious. But, family members may share both genes and diet. Urge your loved ones to be tested! The National Kidney Foundation offers free screening with their KEEP program, and March is National Kidney Month. Click here to see if there is a screening event near you.
